January 26 Comments - re: light forms
Hi Mark! I have been away on Holidays for the past couple of weeks and was eagerly looking forward to catching up on your daily musings, however, I came home to nothing. Did you decide to quit doing them! Did I somehow get knocked off your mailing list! Please advise. If I somehow got taken off your mailing list please put me back on as I enjoyed they very much. I find the physical properties of light very mysterious. Why is it a particle (photon) as well as a wave? Why is its velocity absolute? Why its relationship with mass and energy as in Einstein's famous equation? And why is its velocity the absolute limit that can be achieved? (At least relativity equations predict that) The artistic aspects are another matter; controlled fire and candlelight are both beautiful and hypnotic, as are the moon and stars. The sun is starkly beautiful in its own right. I'm sure ancient man thought the same way, EG, Calgary
