January 23 Comments - re: of puddles

I don't agree that every path has its puddle, but on the other hand, it may have a pond! Yes, we tend to follow paths, but I like the admonition (I forget who coined it) "Walk not in the paths of others, but create a new path that others may follow," or something to that effect. Barrier-free design policy, path of travel and wayfinding; what elegant terms! They could be concepts of universal design. Nature certainly is elegant in design in one way, while chaotic in another. Einstein spent his life trying to find the one underlying elegant theory similar to your "simple" path, and failed. Does it exist? We may never know. And what is elegance if it is not beautiful? May we all have a clear path, and the means to master it, EG,Calgary
