Thursday Mar. 15, 2007 - new babe in my life

[written and published from Calgary]

-12C/10F, predictions it will get above freezing today, clear sky with a blazing ball of gold lighting our way around the lagoon; Gusta sitting by the window guarding her new toy, unsure if she really wants to destroy it or if it is half as interesting as her old reliable one

a great lunch yesterday at the Metropolitan (try the Tandoori chicken quesadilla) plotting plans with CCC & JR for some group golf tours to Maui this fall; we 3 amigos are putting my marketing, their tour and travel experience and our love of golf together . . between us we have way too much skill, way too much experience and way too many bogies to let them languish so we are going to take people to places we love, to golf courses we love and treat people to an experience the way we love to be treated; it will be fun . . stay tuned for more about our putting and our driving - makes me want to take my Big Berthas to the range right now but snow seems to be an obstacle

and . . speaking of spending time with incredible women with all the trimmings, I have to tell you about picking up chicks; I picked up a new babe that will warm you up just reading about her

if I could only smell, I am certain her scent would convey her sensual appeal, her eagerness to please . . she gets purring and opens wide at the touch of my finger tips

but that’s OK, my budding new relationship looks quite promising even though I can’t smell her; there is so much more to discover in the early stages of romancing my new sweat-heart that kicked into overdrive yesterday; I know she has all kinds of buttons to push, unique features and specialty equipment to explore – but she is really really built and this gal is all ‘original factory equipment’ if you know what I mean

she’s not been altered in any way plus she is Gusta-friendly too; there is much I’ve ‘yet to discover’, but this babe can take me anywhere; I’ll explore with hands, with fingers, with all my sensory perception . . far better than asking for help or ‘reading the owner’s manual’; learning about a new babe in any other way would just seem like cheating – so many great things are so much fun to discover by trial and error; she’s a beauty alright – sleek, athletic, curves in all the right places, a great ride, smoothness personified and wow, what magnificent headlights

her approach to 'heat control' would thrill any man, her great musical capability and raw power would impress anyone, especially me; she sports all things we consider 'standard features' of beauty and strength but she has quite the 'entertainment package' to thrill me and anyone I take along . . she can handle 6 burly men at a time . . tremendous capacity; she is the personfication of classic design, understated strength and beauty; pretty yet strong . . she's solid with nerves of steel; her heart is quite simply described as 'power under the hood to amaze you' which . . as early impressions go . . tells me this is the beginning of a phenomenal relationship that will build intensity and perhaps last and last; at least until the lease runs out - perhaps longer if I do the residual buy-out at the end . . (by the way, ‘my guys’ at Tower Chrysler rocked)

few things thrill men/boys . . maybe women too, better than getting a new car; it doesn’t even need to be NEW, it just needs to be new to me; I have so many memories of all the cars I've had relationships with; from my first time (white 1963 VW beetle I named Buefurt) to my most recent conquest I've just described (Cognac 2007 Chrysler all-wheel drive Pacifica); I picked up her up yesterday

'an old reliable one' is fine it we are talking about a sweatshirt, a moving story, a good joke or a golf hat that fits just right no matter how many sweat stains; but some things are just so much better if they are new; about three years ago I took on my dads old Olds when he quit driving; I asked him what he did with his dad's car when he stopped driving - my dad said he
hated it and sold it; my challenge has been to find a replacement vehicle (OK so I wasn't nuts about the Olds) that had what I want in terms of features (rugged for off-the-path exploring but a great city/business vehicle, wagon/SUV/room for golf clubs and dog kennel) with a vehicle that rides close enough to the ground so my dad can get into it without hydraulic
devices or a large aid named Bertha

it’s not that I didn’t like the Olds . . but she was his baby, not mine

To DB: thanks for the thought; a number of years ago in Edmonton, when I renovated a house in old Glenora I tried to create a Snoezelen room feeling because I had been so impressed by the ones at Michener . . it was a tranquil oasis to escape to at the end of a hectic day

To VBL: ..check you firewall and filters . . the beat goes on every day

the Ides of March were not good to Julius Caeser nor was it a great PR day for Brutus; the world keeps turning . . so much smoother today

which means I’ll be driving
