Sept. 22 Comments - some will watch us do it

Mark--feeling the need to change the world just a little today--though may need a little help...your musings help, KC, Calgary?
. . .
Okay, you have mentioned the changing tilt of the earth several times now. The engineer and data analyst in me can not help pointing out: The earth does not change its tilt more then an insignificant fraction of a degree in any given year. It will have a total variation in tilt of only a 3 degree swing over the next 40,000 years - not something anyone but a few scientists would notice or care about. This means that our seasons come and go not because the tilt of the earth changes but, quite the opposite, because the tilt is so constant. While the changing tilt was a useful literary device for your musings it was not an accurate one. Also, the equinox will not take place until 10:03pm (Calgary time) today, September 22nd. BB, Calgary

You are getting to sound just like Eliza Doolittle !!!, bb, Liverpool, UK
