Sept. 21 Comments re: worth the stretch

Hey Mark, I didn’t have to ask, who are you and where are you headed, I can get a glimpse of who you are by your wonderful writing. I see you as a kind, gentle sensitive person. Plus a dog lover! , SC, Calgary

Sounds like you're under some stress and at the verge of a "Should I? or Should I not?" decision, speaking of changes and always doing things to serve others. Maybe it's just the dreary weather as of late and a SADD light might help. Or some caffeine. Caffeine is good. :o) Make the decision that is best for you in your life. You cannot please anyone, if you cannot please yourself. From the "Garden Party" song: "You can't please everybody so you've got to please yourself." I think that was the quote you used. What drives you? What does not appeal to you? Where are you going? Do you really want to go there? Is your heart in it? What's in it for you? Is it worth it? Life's too short to deny yourself happiness. And speaking of what hands we're dealt: how many of those hands are 'dealt' by fate, and how many are dealt by no one else but ourselves. Depends on if you believe in predetermined destiny and blaming others, or taking responsibility and taking the reigns of your own destiny. The horse or rider...which one are you?, anonymous post on the blog

Perhaps all of us, when challenged with the question of our unrequited giving, might examine just what we are giving to those who should recognize and be kind about our giving (or our gifts past), much less the broader world of givees ie. those who so selfishly and stupidly don't appreciate our efforts. I volley just a thought -- that maybe, just perhaps, a few of you stopped short in the giving, feel a bit guilty, worry that you've not or are not giving enough. Another thought. To give with ultimate effect, it is the person receiving the gift that should wonder and/or bless where it came from, not the poor giving soul, wondering where it went. What wiggly logic, to feel sorry for the giver. Frighteningly wiggly to identify, never questioning, VJP, Dewinton
